Internet music retailer Cdnow (www.cdnow.com), Jenkintown, PA, was named the No. 1 online music store this month by e-commerce and Internet analyst eMarketer (www.emarketer.com), New York. The top 10 music outlets were chosen from more than 100 online music sites based on selection, price, usability, presentation and other criteria.An analyst for eMarketer said music is becoming one of the fastest growing e-commerce categories on the Web and is providing an example that other categories can follow. Other on the list were Cd Universe, Music Boulevard, amazon.com, Tunes.com, Total E, UBL, Mass Music, Tower and CD World.
