CDNOW In-Store Promos Target Wine Drinkers

CDNOW.com, Fort Washington, PA, recently began running in-store promotions at spirits retail stores that carry products made by wine manufacturer Villa Mt. Eden.


The campaign, called Music for Your Mouth, runs through May and offers consumers a 15 percent discount for purchases at CDNOW.


The promotional materials feature colorful images of hands playing guitar and piano and include tear-away items such as bottle neckhangers, three-sided header cards and tear pads. The tear-away items allow consumers to take a reminder of the promotion with them. Spanish-language promos will be distributed in Hispanic markets in Los Angeles, Texas, New York and Florida.


Villa Mt. Eden, St. Helena, CA, also will have its Web site, www.villamteden.com, featured in the promos.


Financial terms of the agreement were not available.
