CDNow Expands Into Wireless
CDNow.com account members can now purchase compact discs at the site through wireless devices, the company said yesterday.Users will be able to search the firm's catalog, read product reviews, access a shopping cart and evaluate their ordering history. Site members with Internet-enabled phones and personal digital assistants can access these features by visiting wap.cdnow.com.
ViaFone, Redwood Shores, CA, a provider of mobile enterprise systems, is hosting CDNow's wireless offering. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
CDNow Inc., Fort Washington, PA, is a division of the Bertelsmann eCommerce Group.
