C/Base Debuts Web Gift Certificate
Internet marketing company C/Base, Philadelphia, this week will launch its online gift certificate, Webcertificate. The certificate will be accepted at nearly 1 million online retailers and any retailer that accepts Visa or MasterCard.The gift certificates are purchased at www.webcertificate.com and sent directly to the recipient via e-mail. The certificates can be customized for certain occasions -- including Christmas, birthdays or weddings -- and can range in amount from $20 to $200. A spokesman for C/Base said the certificate can be used at multiple places. The balances are maintained by C/Base and can be checked at www.webcertificate.com.
