Catalog City Revenue Surges

As one of the world's first consolidated online catalog portals connecting Web-browsing consumers with numerous DM merchandisers directly over the Internet, hotshot startup Catalog City, Mountain View, CA, has tallied up sales revenue in excess of $1 million for its first 90 days of operation.

President/CEO Lee Lorenzen says the privately-held company has nearly doubled its orders each month since it opened in October 1998.

Using existing operational infrastructure for fulfillment and distribution, Catalog City strategically partners itself with popular long-standing catalog companies to bring a personalized shopping experience to thousands of online consumers around the world in one convenient cyber-location. To date, the company has taken more than 15,000 individual orders and boasts 55,000 registered users.

Catalog City recently reached a catalog marketing agreement with Yahoo Inc., a global Internet media company.
