CareerBuilder Opens the Tech Lounge

CareerBuilder, Reston, VA, a provider of interactive recruiting on the Web, last month unveiled CareerBuilder Tech Lounge at http://it.careerbuilder.com. This new community provides information technology job seekers direct access to thousands of hi-tech jobs from more than 15 leading technology sites, including Internet.com, Itcareers.com, Dice.com, Computerjobs.com and Softwarejobs.com.


The community also provides specialized content to help IT professionals and "newbies" accelerate their careers. Once at the site, users can specify their "dream job search," including job type, location and salary, as well as specific sites to be searched. Job seekers can also view a list of IT job advertisements by companies including Gateway, IBM, Compaq, Microsoft and Oracle. Tech Lounge provides information on career advancement and workplace trends for established IT professionals, including how-to and insider articles such as "Integrating a New IT Staffer Into Your System" and "Master of Engineering Programs." The Web site will also provide information on education and career paths to those looking to break into the field.
