CarbonMedia Releases New Version of Management Software

CarbonMedia, a software and Internet services company, released a new direct marketing and contacts management software yesterday called CarbonContacts V2.0, which it said meets the needs of small and mid-size businesses.

Thierry Daher, president of New York-based CarbonMedia, said the first customer to use the new version of the software is the International Advertising Association. Forty customers use the first version of the software.

CarbonContacts V2.0 is a Web-based application that is capable of performing numerous tasks, including direct and targeted marketing, customer relationship management, automation list building and segmentation, import/export, database query, list management and automated contact unsubscribing. The software gives online marketers the ability to evaluate the success of their campaigns with features such as e-mail tracking and data analysis.

According to CarbonMedia, its ability to deploy over several sites permits network list building and multiple-site management.

CarbonMedia said the software's features were developed to solve the challenges facing small and mid-size enterprises, including contact management; customer acquisition, retention and support; cost-effective marketing campaigns; multilingual support; and multisite management.

CarbonContacts V2.0 supports any language and character. It can be served on an application service provider basis or it can be licensed. The ASP model costs $500 a month, or the software can be licensed for a one-time fee, to be determined by the company's needs.

Marketing initiatives for the software will be getting under way in the next 10 days and will include both direct mail and direct e-mail campaigns, according to Daher.
