We established this display platform and interactive forum after hearing so much from the agency creative community about the 31st John Caples International Awards, which DMNews helped host on March 19, and our premier edition of the Agency Business Report.

Bookmark this site because it will feature regular updates from DMNews staff as well as creative directors, art directors, account managers and senior leadership at agencies throughout the US - on how the changing business of agency creative and the way that new technology and new ideas are meeting the challenges of today's marketplace.

But to make this blog really special - we need some help from you! Please contact Kevin.McKeefery@dmnews.com if you are interested in becoming a guest blogger. include a little bit about yourself and your topic of interest.

Our blog was named Indirectly for a reason. Often, in order to solve a problem, one has to think outside the box to get a solution. In this economy, we are often asked to challenge our preconceived notions. Below is my favorite example of how we are often trapped by our own "rules."

Please e-mail kevin.mckeefery@dmnews.com for all feedback and contributions.

Company of the Week

We recently were named B2B Magazine's Direct Marketing Agency of the Year, and with good reason: We make real, measureable, positive change happen for our clients. A full-service agency founded in 1974, Bader Rutter expertly helps you get the right message to the right audience at the right time through the right channels. As we engage our clients' audiences along their journey, direct marketing (email, direct mail, phone, SMS) and behavioral marketing (SEM, retargeting, contextual) channels deliver information relevant to the needs of each stage. We are experts at implementing and leveraging marketing technologies such as CRM and marketing automation in order to synchronize sales and marketing communications. Our team of architects and activators plan, execute, measure and adjust in real time to ensure the strategy is working as needed and change things if it's not.
