Cannes Lions launches Integrated Lions award

The owner of the International Advertising Festival, also known as Cannes Lions, introduced the Integrated Lions award while supporting a similar prize called the Titanium Lions.

Going forward, integrated campaigns using three or more different media and ideas will be submitted to an entry section called the Titanium and Integrated Lions, London-based Cannes Lions said.

A single jury will view and vote on all entries. Once a shortlist is reached, the jury will award an Integrated Campaign Lions and an Integrated Grand Prix and possibly a Titanium Lions or a Titanium Grand Prix to a deserving entry.

Cannes Lions said entrants won't have to specify whether they are submitting entries for Titanium or Integrated Lions. All integrated campaign entries will be considered for Integrated Lions and the Integrated Grand Prix.

Also, all entries submitted in this section will be in the running for Titanium Lions and Titanium Grand Prix. But the jury may award the Titanium only occasionally, the organizer said.

The Integrated and Titanium Lions will be handed out to winners on June 23, 2007, during Cannes Lions in the French Riviera resort of Cannes.
