Cancer Group Selects Merkle for Processing Work

The American Institute for Cancer Research tapped Merkle, an information-based database marketing agency, to provide various direct mail donation processing services, the company said yesterday.

The Washington-based organization is the nation's leading charity in the field of diet, nutrition and cancer. The work will be performed by Merkle Response Services and is to begin this summer. Merkle expects to process 1.5 million transactions a year for the nonprofit.

Merkle, Lanham, MD, recently added more than $1 million in imaging equipment to improve speed and accuracy in the processing of donations.
