Canada Post Deal Lets Web Merchants Offer More Shipping Options

Canfone.com Web Services, Waterloo, Ontario, an e-commerce services provider, announced a partnership with Canada Post this week.

The deal lets Canfone.com integrate Canada Post's Sell Online shipping application with its eStore Premium service, enabling its online merchants to offer customers more shipping options based on the actual cost of shipping.

EStore Premium gives online merchants a suite of delivery options for online purchases, simplifying order fulfillment and providing the best cost shipping option for consumers. The eStore Premium service is aimed at small retail businesses.

Previously with the eStore Premium application, online consumers could choose either a flat-rate shipping price during checkout or call the merchant to verify the actual shipping price.

"As more and more consumers turn to the Internet to find information on products, it makes sense to provide them with the actual price of shipping to their location," said Ben Blakley, founder/CEO of Canfone.com.
