Callaway Offers Free Back-End Internet Service to Retailers

Callaway Golf Co., a golf equipment manufacturer, plans to offer its retailers a free Internet-based service that allows them to monitor accounts, place orders and check order or return status.

Once retailers have signed up for the free service, they will receive a password that allows them to access their account at www.callaway-connect.com. A set of options will then appear to guide retailers through business facets with the golf firm.

Launch of the product is scheduled for March. However, Callaway, Carlsbad, CA, has begun equipping its sales team with the system and plans to use the service across its divisions.

Click Commerce Inc., Chicago, an e-commerce systems firm, created the service.
