Call_Solutions Makes 12th Buy

Teleservices agency Call_Solutions Inc. has bought Protocall Communications, an outbound business-to-business telemarketing firm, for an undisclosed sum, the agency said yesterday.

Protocall employs 350 people and operates 173 workstations at its 13,500-square-foot call center in Laurel, MD, and a recently opened 2,500-square-foot facility in Baltimore. The company reported $10 million in revenue in 2000.

Present management of Protocall operations will be retained. The company is the 12th acquisition by Call_Solutions and specializes in sales and lead generation for high-speed Internet access, telecommunications, wireless and videoconferencing providers.

Call_Solutions, Waukesha, WI, has been buying small teleservices agencies since its founding in August 2000. Last year, the company diversified its offerings with the acquisition of database and direct mail firms.
