Call for e-commerce

According to Forrester Research, e-commerce sales will grow to a whopping $2.4 billion dollars in 2008. But while sales are growing, customers are also getting more sophisticated and demanding in their desire for a great online shopping experience. They don't just come to buy a specific product; they want to browse. They don't want an experience presented to them; they want to be able to customize it, picking and choosing where they receive their information. With an expected slow holiday season on tap, retailers need to make their customer's e-commerce experience the best it can be.

DMNews' Essential Guide to E-Commerce will feature a wide range of industry experts offering their best tips, techniques, trends and thought leadership on e-commerce issues. We are currently soliciting contributed articles, targeting both basic and advanced levels of understanding, on e-commerce topics including site experience, search, CRM, Web analytics, measurement and fulfillment.

Submissions need to be right around 450 words long – shorter and longer pieces will not be accepted. Articles must include the name, title and company of the author as well as his/her e-mail address. Submissions must be accompanied by a hi-res color headshot photo for consideration. Please e-mail submissions as a Word attachment to Sharon Goldman at features@dmnews.com. The deadline is Wednesday, October 29.
