Cahners Combines Circulation, Fulfillment Operations
Cahners Publishing, Newton, MA, a division of Reed Elsevier PLC, London, is centralizing its circulation and fulfillment operations in Highlands Ranch, CO, concurrent with its recently announced restructuring that would eliminate 7 percent of its workforce and relocate headquarters from Boston to New York City, according to a spokeswoman.Several jobs in its Radnor, PA, circulation office were eliminated, but other jobs have been created in Highlands Ranch and a few more jobs may be created in other locations. "There is a net loss of a handful of jobs," the spokeswoman said.
The business trade publisher of titles, including Publishers Weekly and Variety, is also outsourcing reader service as well as nonqualified paid circulation fulfillment, she said.
