Business Objects to Buy Infommersion
Business Objects, a provider of business intelligence solutions, said yesterday that it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Infommersion Inc., a vendor of information visualization and presentation software.The all-cash transaction of about $40 million is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. It is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter. Infommersion, San Diego, develops and markets software that lets individuals and businesses access, analyze and share critical data in real time. It lets executives, analysts and educators devise presentations for PowerPoint, Acrobat PDF and the Web.
