BrandDirect Acquires Credit Technology From QuickCredit

Internet credit service provider QuickCredit Corp., Fort Lauderdale, FL, announced an agreement yesterday with membership-based Web site company BrandDirect Marketing Inc., Shelton, CT, that will provide the latter company's members with enhanced credit information and protection.

Through the agreement, BrandDirect will be able to offer its members a credit monitoring option that gives basic credit reports, credit counseling, as well as privacy and credit card protection.

BrandDirect's implementation of the systems, which will begin in the first quarter of 2000, marks a departure from its usual business to business transfers of credit information. The company hadn't offered these services to its customers in the past.

The membership-based site looks to gain more Internet viewers to its reported 2.1 million members with the new technology. The companies did not release the financial terms of the agreement.
