Boston Market offered a free lunch to any of the estimated 200,000 Americans born on Leap Day as part of a promotion featuring its limited-time-only chipotle meatloaf and its newest menu item, apple gallette.

On February 29, birthday celebrants were invited to a free individual meal, up to $10 in value. Through promotion on its Web site, the company also ran an online contest for offices to win a free catered lunch on Leap Day, promoting its catering services. This follows a humorous viral video campaign featuring office characters whose jobs are made easier with catering services.
