Borders Books Enters Online Fray

Book retailer Borders Group, Ann Arbor, MI, last week announced a new e-commerce site, Borders.com (www.borders.com.), that will give its online customers access to almost 3 million book, music and video titles.


Borders also announced a new center, which offers more than 10 million books, CDs and videos, also opened. Borders' three core offerings are organized into six departments: books, music, video, children's (books, music and video), computer books and the Borders NetCafe (chat and bulletin board). These departments include almost 60 subject sections and 400 subsections with 3,000 features that will be rotated regularly.
