Book Club Adding 4,500 Members Monthly

Audio Book Club, Boca Raton, FL, announced recently that it is gaining 4,500 new members a month, up from only 300 in January, because of an aggressive Internet marketing strategy. The club has signed new advertising agreements this month with four more Internet sites -- whowhere.com, net@address.com, hitthebeach.com and freeride.com -- in addition to others it already had with America Online, Yahoo, Juno and Netscape.


Audio Book Club said it will spend $5 million on Internet advertising in the next year. It said its total membership is more than 340,000.
