Bombardier Flexjet Appoints Boone/Oakley

Bombardier Flexjet, a Dallas division of Canada's Bombardier Inc., has tapped Boone/Oakley, Charlotte, NC, as its advertising agency of record on a $23 million account.

The incumbent agency was Tracy Locke Partnership, Dallas. There was no review. Boone/Oakley's experience with big-ticket brands like Toyota Motor Corp.'s Lexus and Continental Tires helped clinch the Bombardier Flexjet account.

Flexjet offers actual ownership in fractional increments of Bombardier-made corporate aircraft like Lear jets. A share gives the owner 50 hours of flying time each year from and to any destination at a minimum four hours' notice.

Boone/Oakley's advertising will target first-class travelers, including sports personalities and corporate executives, through print, direct mail, outdoor, collateral and possibly broadcast.

The agency's roster includes clients like 123hire.com and the Charlotte Hornets basketball team.
