BoldFish Goes to Bat for MLB

With hopes of extending the online presence of the 30 Major League Baseball teams, MLB Advanced Media, which runs MLB.com, said yesterday that it has chosen BoldFish Express Server to handle messaging communications for each team.

As a result of the partnership, fans will be able to opt in to receive e-mail updates providing detailed information on the topics they are most interested in, including game results, stats, player trades and transactions, promotional efforts and breaking news.

The personalization technology will let MLB.com and individual teams notify fans of events, opportunities and merchandise offers that match their interests.
