BMO Debuts Platform for Online Procurement

BMO ePurchasing Solutions has introduced BMO FlexPort, a Web-based platform for business-to-business procurement.


The platform will let buyers and suppliers electronically process purchase orders and settle payments in the formats of their choice while fitting in with corporate enterprise resource planning systems, said BMO, which is a division of the Bank of Montreal.


BMO FlexPort will combine electronic purchase and payment instructions, such as order delivery, acknowledgment and shipping notification, multiple payment methods and advanced reporting. Other features include electronic delivery of purchasing and payment instructions so clients can establish direct trading relationships with suppliers, conversion of any file format from both buyers and suppliers, payment options including credit card and electronic funds transfer, and access to management information systems reporting for analytic and accounting information.
