Blue Pumpkin Secures $24 Million in Financing

Blue Pumpkin Software Inc., which makes agent scheduling software for contact centers, said yesterday it raised $24 million from a group of investors, including Van Wagoner Capital Management, Nortel Networks, Trans Cosmos USA, Siemens Mustang Ventures and Dain Rauscher Wessels Investors LLC.


The software company based in Sunnyvale, CA, said the funds would be used to support investments in new technologies, distribution agreements and customer service and support.


In connection with its investment in Blue Pumpkin, Nortel Networks, San Jose, CA, said it would integrate its Clarify eBusiness applications, which are used to create multimedia customer relationship management programs, with Blue Pumpkin's workforce management solutions.


Firms which have integrated the two systems include cataloger Hammacher Schlemmer, financial services firm Banco Popular and Australian Internet service provider Dingo Blue.
