Blair Q4 Sales, Year-End Income Rise
Blair Corp., Warren, PA, said Friday that net sales in the fourth quarter totaled $167.94 million compared with $160.53 million posted in the fourth quarter of 2001.The direct marketer of apparel and home products also said that net income in the quarter reached $6.22 million compared with $7.36 million in the comparable period of the prior year.
Net sales last year were $568.55 million, compared with $580.7 million in 2001. However, net income of $19.14 million was up nearly $10 million from 2001.
The company's e-commerce channel generated $57 million in gross sales demand in 2002 compared with $35 million in 2001.
