BizRate Links With NetZero for Co-Branded Portal

NetZero and BizRate.com yesterday launched a co-branded shopping portal that would give NetZero's 8.6 million users access to BizRate's online marketplace.


The move gives BizRate's more than 2,000 merchants a direct avenue to reach NetZero shoppers.


Users can access the portal on NetZero's Web site, www.netzero.com, through its shopping channel and through ZeroPort.


Leslie Barry, manager of corporate communications at BizRate, Marina del Rey, CA, said BizRate would promote the portal to 1,200 of its merchants via an e-mail newsletter. The monthly newsletter will be distributed today, she said.


Terms of the deal were not disclosed. NetZero is based in Westlake Village, CA.
