Best Buy, Jusco Co. Join Retail Exchange

Best Buy, Woonsocket, RI, and Jusco Co. yesterday joined the WorldWide Retail Exchange marketplace.

The Web-based business-to-business exchange will consider the two companies founding members, in addition to U.S.-based retail chains CVS Corp., Walgreens, Kmart, JCPenney and Safeway and European-based Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Casino and Auchan & Delhaize Group.

The exchange, which formed earlier this year, plans to cut costs and ease the procurement of merchandise.
