Beryl Gains Hospital Teleservices Contract

The Beryl Cos., a teleservices provider for healthcare agencies, yesterday announced a contract to provide physician-referral call center services for Lancaster, PA, General Hospital.

Terms of the contract were not released. Beryl, Bedford, TX, will provide agents for 24-hour service to consumers in the hospital's service area.

In addition to physician referrals, telephone agents will deliver information about hospital promotional programs, such as classes and community outreach programs, to consumers who call in. Lancaster General is a 534-bed facility.

Last week, Beryl picked up another contract to provide 24-hour physician-referral services for Somerset Medical Center, a 355-bed hospital in Somerville, NJ.

Beryl provides telephone-based customer relationship management for healthcare organizations nationwide. It maintains a 50,000-square-foot call center in Dallas.
