Benefit, Insurance Providers Enter Agreement
Health and disability benefits provider HealthExtras Inc., Chattanooga, TN, has agreed to market the products of UnumProvident Corp., a disability insurance provider.As part of the agreement, UnumProvident, Rockville, MD, agreed to purchase $6 million worth of HealthExtras stock. HealthExtras will use direct mail as well as the Internet to market UnumProvident's services.
The companies seek to target disability benefits to the middle-income market.
