Bear Creek Extends, Expands R.R. Donnelley Deal
Bear Creek extended R.R. Donnelley's contract to print all of its standard-size catalogs to 2007 and awarded R.R. Donnelley a contract to print catalogs in 2003 for its sister company Shaklee, the commercial printing firm said yesterday.R.R. Donnelley will print Bear Creek and Shaklee catalogs at its plant in Lancaster, PA. In addition, R.R. Donnelley Logistics, a business unit of Chicago-based R.R. Donnelley, will handle catalog distribution for Bear Creek.
The financial value of the contract extension and the new contract with Shaklee was not disclosed. Bear Creek, Medford, OR, has a 25-year relationship with R.R. Donnelley.
Bear Creek's catalog operations include Harry and David, which offers fruits, vegetables, candy and baked goods, and Jackson & Perkins, which offers roses and gardening products. Bear Creek's sales top $500 million annually.
