Bartko Is Back With Direct Media

Longtime Direct Media executive Maxim C. Bartko returned to the company yesterday to head up its business-to-business division. Bartko's duties will include overseeing the business brokerage group, which was led by Jens Runge, who was shot and killed June 27.

"Max is back as president of the business-to-business group, and everyone is really happy because he already knows everything," said David W. Florence founder/CEO of Direct Media Inc., Greenwich, CT. "He's done just about everything that can possibly be done at our company. We have been speaking with Max about coming back and helping with various BTB initiatives and to be available to our clients for some time now."

Bartko, a former partner, was with Direct Media for more than 20 years before he left about a year ago. While there his titles included group president of sales and marketing, international leader, president of list management, vice president of advertising and public relations and business-to-business list broker.
