BarnesandNoble.com yesterday agreed to acquire a 30 percent interest in Fatbrain.com's MightyWords unit for $20 million.


Fatbrain, an online retailer of textbooks, plans to spin off the Santa Clare, CA-based unit, which offers downloadable digital versions of books and texts.
