Barnes & Noble Supports BTB Transactions

Barnes&noble.com signed a deal with Hubspan this month to provide system-to-system integration for its corporate and government customers.

"The Hubspan Business Network will make it faster, easier and more efficient for us to address current and future customer requirements to automate the purchase of books and other professional reference materials through their existing procurement systems," said Marie Toulantis, CEO of Barnes&noble.com.

Connecting to the Hubspan Business Network lets Barnes & Noble's sell-side system interact with customer procurement systems including Oracle, Ariba and proprietary platforms.

Barnes & Noble will begin using HBN involving transactions such as purchase orders. Plans call for support of additional transactions such as invoices.
