BankBoston Adopts Decision Support System

BankBoston, Boston, and Tessera Enterprise Systems, Wakefield, MA, a customer relationship management solutions provider, announced this month that they have recently completed the development of a decision support system that will enable the Bank to understand its customers' channel usage, which will support the Bank's ongoing effort to optimize its distribution network.

The system is built on an IBM S70 parallel server running IBM's UDB/EE, and uses the latest EMC disk array storage devices. The database will contain transaction information and data from over 30 sources, and according to Tessera, is growing at a rate of about 14 GB per month.
