Bally Total Fitness and RB Publishing have teamed up to create a health and fitness magazine.

The publication will launch with a minimum printing of 400,000 copies in the second quarter of 2002 and proceed on a quarterly publishing schedule, the firms said yesterday.

Bally club members will receive the magazine via direct mail and in-club distribution. The firms also see potential for newsstand distribution.

RB Publishing will be responsible for the magazine's advertising sales and its editorial. The firm has launched several custom publications for companies such as Xerox and Pitney Bowes as well as the U.S. Postal Service.

Bally Total Fitness has 4 million members in its 410 fitness center facilities in the United States and Canada.
