Bain, StockPower Offering Lets Companies Sell Stock Direct

Bain & Co., Inc., Boston, MA, the consulting firm, and StockPower, San Francisco, CA, an Internet stock purchase plan provider, announced they joined forces yesterday to help public corporations build customer loyalty through Internet-based direct stock purchases.


Bain & Co. and StockPower will work together to further develop and enhance StockPower's proprietary technology for loyalty-building through its turn-key, SEC-approved program for public companies to sell stock direct and communicate with shareholders and customers on an ongoing basis.


Bain will act as advisor, co-developer, and shareholder of StockPower. Fred Reichheld, author of The Loyalty Effect (1996, Harvard Business School Press, Boston, MA) is a director of Bain & Co.
