Bain Capital Tries on Burlington Coat Factory
Private investment firm Bain Capital Partners LLC will acquire Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Corp. for $2.06 billion, the apparel discounter said yesterday.Under terms of the agreement, Boston-based Bain Capital will buy all of the outstanding shares of Burlington Coat Factory for $45.50 per share in cash.
Burlington Coat Factory, Burlington, NJ, was founded in 1972 and has 367 stores in 42 states as well as an e-commerce Web site that sell branded apparel, baby furniture, home décor and gifts.
