Bachrach Acquired by Sun Capital
Private investment firm Sun Capital Partners Inc. reported yesterday that one of its affiliates purchased a controlling interest in Bachrach Clothing Inc.Bachrach, Decatur, IL, is a retailer of men's fashions and operates 49 stores in 16 states as well as a nationally distributed mail-order catalog and Web site.
Ed Bachrach, chairman/CEO of Bachrach, will remain involved with the company and support its transition to new leadership.
Sun Capital Partners, Boca Raton, FL, has a retail portfolio that includes Sam Goody, SunCoast, Anchor Blue and Mervyn's.
