Avon to Target Teen Girls

Avon Products Inc. said it will will launch a worldwide beauty business targeting teen-age girls.


The effort will include the debut of Teen Business in early 2003. The company anticipates that teens will sell Avon products to other teens through direct selling, the Internet and catalogs. Most of the details regarding Teen Business have not been determined.


Magazine publishing executive Deborah Fine has been named president of Teen Business. She has held positions at Conde Nast Publications since 1994, most recently as vice president and publisher of Glamour. She will join Avon on Sept. 4.
