Avaya Deploys Firstlogic for Cleansing, Profiling

Firstlogic Inc., a global provider of enterprise information quality solutions, said yesterday that Avaya Inc. deployed Firstlogic's data quality and profiling solutions.

Avaya designs, builds and manages communications networks for 1 million businesses worldwide, including 90 percent of the Fortune 500.

Avaya combined Firstlogic's Information Quality Suite and IQ Insight data quality and profiling solutions with a disciplined project management methodology to manage its information quality globally and enterprise-wide.

"We are already seeing benefits from using the Firstlogic data cleansing and profiling solutions in improved customer service and operational efficiency," said Rich Trapp, director, global data quality, Avaya.

Trapp heads Avaya's Data Quality Center of Excellence, the key organizational component of Avaya's data quality program. He said the company's data quality strategy centers on its customers.

"We truly have an enterprise-wide scope that is not limited to any particular data set, but we are finding that the biggest lift to the business is from those data sets most closely tied to the customer," he said.
