Auto Marketer Driven to Lead Google's Auto Industry Ad Team

Google appointed Bonita Stewart as director of the automotive vertical, effective immediately.

"Bonita has both traditional brand experience and interactive experience," said Mike Mayzel of Google corporate communications. "We believe this combination will help our automotive advertisers integrate traditional offline advertising with new opportunities in digital media."

Prior to her hire, Ms. Stewart was with DaimlerChrysler, where she was director of Chrysler group interactive communications.

"I'm excited to bring my interactive experience with a major auto brand to Google," Ms. Stewart said. "Google is leading the way in innovative, accountable advertising, and I look forward to working with auto companies to maximize the value of Google's ad program."

Ms. Stewart is now responsible for leading the team that develops and manages Google's relationships with automotive marketers.
