Auto Industry Sites Strike Procurement DealParts.com, a marketplace and software solutions provider for the automobile parts industry, formed a joint marketing partnership last week with eAutoclaims, a business-to-business company that aims to lower automotive repair costs paid by insurance companies.
The five-year deal allows eAutoclaims, Palm Harbor, FL, and its network of body shops to use Parts.com's dealer network to procure mechanical parts.
The agreement also calls for eAutoclaims to begin an outbound telemarketing campaign to sell Parts.com's TradeMotion Storefront software to car dealerships nationwide. Thereafter, dealers that purchased the software will receive orders for original equipment manufacturer parts from eAutoclaims and its network of body shops.
The companies will share undisclosed portions of the revenue generated from the campaign.
"The Parts.com participating car dealerships will see a significant increase in the volume of auto parts orders through the Parts.com pipeline," said Eric Seidel, president/CEO of eAutoclaims. "EAutoclaims buys millions of dollars in OEM parts every month, and we plan on pushing this through the Parts.com network."
Parts.com, Sanford, FL, has a network of 2,700 dealers nationwide. EAutoclaims, meanwhile, has a network of 2,500 body shops.
