Auction Site Will Cater to Farmers
MBT International, Castle Rock, CO, the parent company of AgriMall.com (www.agrimall.com), will enter the online auction arena this month as a result of the pending acquisition of online horse retailer, HorseNet.com (www.horsenet.com) and the subsequent blending of the companies' technologies.The auction service, which will sell products to the agricultural industry, will be launched with close to $100 million of content for sale. Later this quarter, MBT will launch a live monitored auction environment that allows buyers and sellers to transact business in real time. Until then, products and services will be offered through a "passive auction" environment.
