Ask Launches New Blog Search

Search engine Ask is rolling out a new blog and feed search on Ask.com and Bloglines.com to better compete with other blog search engines. Ask bought Bloglines early last year.

The new Ask Blog & Feed Search results are based on the subscription data of "hundreds of thousands" of people who use Bloglines, according to Ask.

Ask is also applying its own algorithmic search technology to the results so blog and feed subscribers can search by posts, feeds and news, relevance, date and popularity.

In addition, Bloglines subscribers can choose to subscribe to other news feed services, including Google Reader, MyYahoo and NewsGator.
