ARTISTdirect Debuts Beastie Boys Site
Online music company ARTISTdirect (www.artistdirect.com), Encino, CA, recently debuted the official Beastie Boys online retail center at www.beastieboys.com. The site contains Beastie Boys-themed merchandise, concert information, tickets, CDs, tapes, apparel, books, autographed posters, musical instruments and lithographs.The Beastie Boys' record company Grand Royal (www.grandroyal.com) also will be linked to the new store. As part of the multiyear agreement with Grand Royal and the Beastie Boys, ARTISTdirect accepted preorders of the band's new album at both sites. Thousands of albums were sold online before it was officially released in stores.
