Arandell doubles co-mailing capacity

Leading catalog printer Arandell Corporation has recently acquired additional co-mail equipment, increasing its co-mailing capacities by 100 percent.

Co-mailing is one of the strategies that catalogers have been investigating for reducing costs since the US Post Office announced its latest postage increase, which was as high as 40 percent for some flat mail. Co-mailing enables similarly sized catalogs to combine their mailings for increased postage savings. However, some catalogers have reported difficulties in finding a co-mailing partner, in part, because the available co-mailing facilities are already working at full capacity.

By increasing its co-mailing capacity, Arandell hopes to "provide a greater opportunity for clients to join Arandell's co-mail program," said James R. Giencke, president/COO of Arandell, Menomonee Falls, WI, in a statement.
