On Monday, Apple announced that iAds would come to the iPad on July 1st quietly mentioning a new amended requirement for developers on the new iPhone 4 and the iPad that could keep Google and AdMob out of the space.

According to a blog post by AdMob founder Omar Hamoui complained that this new format, “…would prohibit app developers from using AdMob and Google's advertising solutions on the iPhone.”  Google declined to comment any further.

In the release, Apple claims that an advertising service provider that is owned by or affiliated with a developer or distributor of mobile devices, mobile operating systems or development environments other than Apple would not qualify to serve ads on its devices. Apple did not respond to requests for comment.
