Direct marketers often find themselves in situations where they're working on the go.

But while file-sharing apps like Box or Dropbox lets them share and access files, what good are those tools if users can't also edit their docs on the fly?

Quickoffice Pro, acquired by Google in mid-2012, lets users edit documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks on the iPad. Caveat: At $19.99, it's not the cheapest office app, but it's the best.

It's platform agnostic and works equally well with documents created on Microsoft Office, as well as on Google Docs.
