AOL Starts Plus Service

America Online, Dulles, VA, yesterday launched its AOL Plus service, which delivers multimedia content and features to subscribers using AOL 5.0 over high-speed connections. AOL Plus is the company's first step toward its introduction of high-speed access on AOL.


AOL Plus allows customers to use interactive services featuring multimedia like full-motion video and streaming audio.


The service is available to all AOL 5.0 customers using the service over a broadband line. Companies including CBS MarketWatch.com., Cnet Networks, CNN and Launch Media will provide content for the service.
