AOL Members Buy Online, Study Says

America Online, Dulles, VA, yesterday said its members spent $3.9 billion during the last quarter ended March 31, according to a study by Internet Research Group, Wayne, PA.


AOL members increased their online retail spending 86 percent with 15 million of the company's 22 million subscribers making at least one purchase over the past six months, the study said.


According to the research group, 40 percent of AOL subscribers made a purchase during the month of March.
